Risk Assessment in Schools
'A situation involving exposure to danger'

Any risk can be described as the "possibility of an event occurring that will have an impact on the achievement of objectives." Like any organisation, schools and school communities are exposed to a wide variety of risks every day.  The impact of these risks could affect any aspect of it's operation, finances, legal standing, reputation or safety.

Risk in relation to online safety

The vast majority of people who go online do not get into serious trouble. However, there are dangers that exist in the online environment. Schools, governing bodies, parents and children need to be aware of the risks in the online world and take action to minimize them.
