10 Years since the Byron Review

Since Dr. Tanya Byron's 2008 report 'Safer Children in a Digital World', the profile of online safety has significantly increased, particularly in schools.
Online safety now forms a statutory part of the Computing Curriculum, is embedded into other areas such as PSHE and anti-bullying messages and Ofsted inspections take an active interest in how well schools teach pupils to stay safe online. 
Industry changes have helped to support parents in choosing appropriate content for children, such as the PEGI age rating system for games, for example.
However, a recent NSPCC article shows that of the 38 recommendations made, only 13 have been fully implemented, leaving lots of room for improvement.  View the NSPCC article here and download the full report below:
